“‘Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!” – “A Christmas Carol” – Charles Dickens
As an ENTJ, my life has been full of accomplished goals. In creating “Marketing in the Time of Cholera” my only goal was to help people. Consistently I hear from people who ask me why I am not charging for the book. The answer is just that I want to make it easy for people to get the book and, hopefully, benefit from it.
Now I realize that it would be easy for people to pay $15-$20 for the book but that wasn’t my point. The biggest risk with offering the book for free is getting people to believe the book has value without charging for it. In today’s Internet world, there are so many services that provide value for free that I hope people can overcome the fact that my book is free and see the value.
By the way, no one will be allowed to leave the Internet while the screening of the 1/2 rule is occurring.
